Host your dream wedding at Summit Farms, conveniently located just off I-5, less than a two-hour drive from Portland or Seattle. Nestled on 28 acres of regenerative farmland in Olympia Washington, our venue offers a unique blend of rustic elegance and serene outdoor settings, perfect for weddings, receptions, and private events. With a two-story configurable historic barn that can comfortably accommodate up to 150 guests, parking for 50 vehicles including RVs or Food Trucks, 5 Full RV Hook-Ups – this is the perfect farm/barn wedding location.

We are conservation-driven, family farmers who see ourselves as environmental stewards of this beautiful property. We are opening up for the first time in 2025 a select number of weddings, renewal-of-vows, extended family reunions, association gatherings, company picnics in addition to the board offsites, annual meetings, celebrations of life, karaoke or family movie nights and keynote speakers we’ve hosted in the last several years.

Two-story Historic Barn

Perfect for ceremonies, receptions, or corporate events such as board offsites, team-building retreats, family-friendly movie nights, Karaoke with colleagues, or association meetings.

Includes a 20’x15’ raised stage with rental options for 10’x10’ screen, daylight pro-projector, 2×1000 watt speakers, Yamaha mixer, Shure Mics and the connectors/cables your DJ or Emcee or band-leader can utilize or connect their own. In addition, there are a collection of percussion instruments you can use for a drum-circle or let off some steam.  For those who are musically inclined, there is a pro-Yamaha drum kit, Korg Krome programmable keyboard, guitar, mics and of course, a Cow Bell.

The upstairs is super-flexible – can be theater seating to tables and chairs to a giant magical dance floor under programmable, dimmable LED lights and unbelievable acoustics. 

Downstairs has built-in reception area or catering prep or bar/appetizer serving area

Also in the restored downstairs, options for up to 8 vendor stalls and planned for 2025 season, ADA-accessible restrooms.

Being an WA-registered barn, it is not heated or cooled, though portable heaters and fans can be used upstairs.  The “best” weather months have been July through September, though June and early October can be nice also – though the climate continues to be unpredictable. 

50 – 150 person capacity.

The upstairs requires stairs and unfortunately is not ADA-accessible – however, the lower barn can accommodate gatherings or in other locations that are relatively flat and navigable for ADA, depending where.

Glamping Yurts (coming Spring 2025)

5 RV hookup sites (water, septic and electric) – can accommodate up to 30’-35’

5 large group tent or van dry camping sites – two are multi-family or groups/teams

In our Run-Of-The-House packages, we include use of our genuine Finnish cedar-lined six-person sauna with upper and lower level seating, accessible via raised colorful walkway near the turn-of-the-century farmhouse.

Swing-set for kids to adults, mini-golf, nature trails, 400-meter running/dog-walking loop, part of extended property linked-paths.

Room to set up sports activities such as volleyball, soccer, team-races as well as outdoor spaces for stages, ceremonies or school field-trips.

All together we can accommodate up to 50 overnight guests

Preferred Vendors

We work with a number of trusted fellow Farmers Market for local food, drink and catering options.  .

We also have an excellent DJ/Emcee/AV company that has done excellent work for large events and knows our system well having designed it

A number of affordable local bands would be thrilled to play in the barn – just watch their faces when they see it for the first-time!  We’ve got recommendations or bring your own.

You might not find a better place for so many different photographic locations that look unique depending on day or time.  We have several we can highly recommend

Wedding Package 1

  • Day Use Only includes parking for 25 vehicles (attendant required), use of Lower Barn reception/bar/food prep area, planned restrooms with water and power available. Upper Barn includes highly configurable space, stage, screen and built-in areas for food/beverage laying out for guests.
  • Brides/maids room with comfortable seating for six, make-up table, mirror and excellent lighting in a converted brick and windows 1900s milk parlor adjacent, but separate from ceremony options indoors or out.
  • Includes tables and chairs for 50 either indoor or out, available also are 5 movable picnic tables for outdoor gatherings.
  • Ceremony Stage & Arch relocatable for your own decorations and flowers – for indoors or out.

Answers to Common Questions About Weddings & Events

What are the quiet times?2024-10-01T01:11:55+00:00

As we are in the Agricultural Overlay District (AOD) for Thurston County, we are permitted to host a number of events with a number of guests and also required to look after requirements and be good country neighbors.  Quiet time is at 10:00pm, which is when amplified music (indoors or out) must be out, though guests who are staying with us are encouraged to hang out in the barn.  All non-staying guests should depart by 10:45 p.m. so as not to disturb our neighbors on Whitehall Lane.  Please drive slowly and carefully at all hours as a one-lane road and frequent deer.

What happens in case of bad weather?2024-10-01T01:10:29+00:00

We have you covered! In the event of rain or inclement weather, we can move your event indoors to our barn or consider a large rented catering tent with endless views of the forests and sky. 

Can we bring our own vendors, or do we need to use your preferred vendors?2024-10-01T01:10:11+00:00

We offer flexibility in choosing your vendors! You’re welcome to bring your own, or if you prefer, we have a list of trusted local vendors for catering, photography, florals, and more.

Our two-story historic barn can comfortably accommodate 100-150 guests. For outdoor ceremonies and receptions, we can also host the same number across our scenic farm spaces.  We have parking for about 50 vehicles and room for a few large RVs or food trucks.

Why do we require a professional day-of-coordinator?2024-10-01T01:11:23+00:00

We’ve found that having an insured and trusted, experienced day-of-coordinator and/or planner can take a lot of stress off the couple and will be the communicator with us before and during your special day(s) to ensure it is memorable and no-worry enjoyable for you and your guests.

Yes! Our venue includes both indoor and outdoor spaces. You can host your ceremony in the barn, adjacent to barn in rented tent, bamboo forest or other nearby spaces – and have the reception either indoors or outdoors under the stars.

50% deposit to hold the dates.  Full payment 90 days in advance.  50% refundable up to 30 days after that non-refundable. A $250 refundable cleaning deposit is required, thanks.

Yes! We offer private camping or glamping spots for the wedding party or guests who want to stay overnight, along with access to farm amenities like the sauna.
