Hey friends,

Mitch here. I want to personally invite you to something special we’re hosting out at the farm on Thursday, May 2nd from 6 to 9 PM — a community movie night and Q&A right here at Summit Farms, in partnership with our friends at Thurston Conservation District.

We’ll be screening the powerful documentary Elemental: Reimagine Wildfire, a film that explores how we can better live with fire as part of our landscape — something that’s becoming more important every year here in the Pacific Northwest. After the screening, we’ll have a live Q&A session with local experts from TCD, where you can ask your questions about wildfire preparedness, home hardening, emergency readiness, and more.

I’ll also be sharing a little bit about what Michelle and I have done to prepare our own property at Summit Farms — from simple projects to bigger changes that help us sleep a little easier during fire season.

This is a family-friendly event, with snacks, games, and a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you’re a landowner, homeowner, or just curious about how to better protect your space, we’d love to have you join us. Come for the movie, stay for the conversation, and leave with a few new tools and ideas for living better with wildfire.

Space is limited, so snag your seat and RSVP here.

Summit Farms – 11815 Whitehall Ln SE, Olympia, WA 98501

Just a heads up — the venue includes stairs and is not ADA accessible, but we’re happy to help however we can if you need accommodations.

Hope to see you out at the farm,
– Mitch
